This year is Kolin’s first Halloween. Jessica made our matching costumes by ordering some parts online. We went as a nerd family. But I’d rather pretend I was Clark Kent!
2012 Treasure Island
This past weekend we had our first family vacation. We went down to Treasure Island, FL. Jessica had passed the bar this summer, and was getting sworn in. We spent a couple of extra days down there and had a lot of fun. It was also Kolin’s first beach experience.
2012 Independence Day
Kolin’s first Fourth of July. We spent it in Jacksonville. We got to watch the neighborhood parade, which included local first trucks and fire fighters.
Visitors from Thailand
My dad and my brother Han came to the US for some business trip. Afterward they came to visit us from May 4 – 11, 2012. They made it in time to see little Kolin.
Kolin Ratana
Our son Kolin Ratana was born on February 29, 2012 at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL. He weighed 6 lbs 7 oz and was 19.5″ tall. He’s the first grandchild on both sides of the family.

2011 Christmas
We finally made it to Loop’s Christmas party this year. (Last year we went to New York. The year before that we went on a cruise.) It was awesome. They went all out with a circus theme. They even had real tigers! One was a 600 lb tiger, kept in a huge cage. The other was a 10 weeks old cub, walking around on a leash. Steve P was actually bitten by it. (“Our project manager got bitten by a tiger at the office Christmas party!”)
There were performers (acrobatic, juggler, fire girl). Loop also asked a few employees to participate. Steve’s daughters did ballet. G was the strong man. Jason D did brake dancing. Chris and Sofie sang. And I did a yoga routine.
After the show, they had the award ceremony. A lot of awards, gifts, and bonuses were given out. Thanks Loop!

2011 Sea World
This weekend Jessica and I went to visit her friend Jess & JP in Orlando. We stayed at their new home over the weekend and went to Sea World on Saturday.

2011 Sony DSC HX9V
I have been looking for a new camera since my Canon SD880 got busted (the LCD broke when I dropped it) a few months ago. After some reading online, it came down to Canon SX230HS
Here are some pictures that I took so far. I also took some 3D pictures, but haven’t uploaded them.
And here’s a video. It’s shot in 1080p @ 60 frames per second. But YouTube only plays back at 30 fps. So it’s not as smooth as the actual clip.
